PA TECH AWARD CATEGORIES
The 2012 PA Tech Awards have eight categories. Each person or company can be nominated for up to three categories. Nominations close February 3, 2012, so make yours today.
This award will go to a recognized innovator who has helped advance policies and legislation toward Pennsylvania's technological growth. Nominees should be developers or active users of current technologies whose efforts have benefited businesses regionally or statewide.
This award will go to an educator who:
- Uses current technologies to educate, motivate and inspire students to become lifelong learners
- Encourages students to pursue careers in technology
Nominees must be teachers or instructors in K-12 (public or private), higher educational institutions or technical schools in Pennsylvania.
This award will go to a company that provides technology applications, equipment, resources and/or other solutions to enhance its customers' operations. Nominees should have a strong market presence in Pennsylvania.
This award will go to an organization, agency or company that has — collaboratively or on its own — used existing technology to improve a process, practice or service. Nominees can be for profit or nonprofit.
This award will go to a person or organization who recognizes government programs, leadership activities and processes that promote and utilize technology for public good.
This includes, but is not limited to, the successful integration of technological best practices, the use of technology to support official government duty and the implementation of cost-effective technological services for people and industry.
This award will go to the developer of a technological product, product line or product service, that has achieved significant recognition and market impact in Pennsylvania over the past 12 months.
This award will go to a company that exemplifies top industry standards for:
- Growth rate (actual or anticipated)
- Product and market impact
- Qualifications of management
- Attraction of capital
Nominees should demonstrate significant growth and potential future growth in revenue, products, services and/or number of employees.
This award will go to a company that has demonstrated excellence in technology for the betterment of itself and its industry. Nominees should be leaders in Pennsylvania's technology industry.
